Rachel’s "gun" causes new X Factor controversy

Post by xshaydx on Thu Nov 20, 2008 5:12 pm

Uh-oh. X Factor hopeful Rachel Hylton is by no means a stranger to controversy, and now she’s gone and upset show viewers by making a "gun salute" live on air. Rachel made the pistol gesture after triumphing over Daniel Evans in the sing-off – and some people weren’t too pleased. Despite the incident taking place on Saturday’s show, outraged viewers took several days to complain to TV regulating body Ofcom. An X Factor spokesperson said, “Rachel in no way meant any offence by her hand gestures on Saturday night.”

Apparently other past X Factor contestants have used the salute...no-one complained then...people really need to get a life...

I think this whole complaints thing is getting a bit ridiculous now. I believe that tv/radio/media shouldnt purposly broadcast something offensive but in the PC mad society today people will be offended by almost anything!
