Christmas Party season is coming

Post by cookie1979 on Thu Nov 20, 2008 3:37 pm

So with christmas coming alot of us will be getting ready for christmas parties at work or perhaps our partners works... so the big question is what to wear!

I have my boyfriends works christmas party on Friday December 12th and mine on Thursday 18th December. Bit rubbish that mine is on a Thursday, but I still plan to get drunk and be merry.

So I've worked out what I'm wearing to my work do, I bought a dress, its a strapless black dress, with buttons down the bodice, and a skirt that flares out slightly at the top, sort of a bubble effect, it has a black belt with a gold clasp. I saw it at the weekend, and thought I'll try it on, plus another similar one, I got them both in a size 16, and guess what? They were too big, I was quite surprised to be honest! Anyway I wasn't going to try a size 14 on, but my boyfriend told me not to be stupid and to just try it on, so I did and its actually fit. It looks great on, and is very slimming so I cant wait to go to my work do.

I dont know what I'm wearing to my bfs party, I know I could wear the dress I bought, and I know this probably sounds silly, but I actually want to wear it for the first time at my work do...guess it will be more special. I dunno, I just want to save it for that party. I guess I'll come up with something for Adams party, I bought a gorgeous corset from Primark, its really nice, and was only £6, so could wear that... Wasn't impressed my arch diet nemises bought the same corset today, she knows full well that I bought it last week... grrrrr!!! I'm very competitive, I want to lose more weight than her, thats why she's my arch diet nemises! lol. She almost bought the same dress as me too, thankfully I told her I had it, would have been awful turning up to our xmas party wearing the same dress.

Is it abit evil of me to be smug about the fact that she had to losen the ribbon at the back of the corset to get it to fit, and I have to have them as tight as they will go...?? Yep I'm evil, I can't help it, I've been dieting longer than her and she's now doing a stupid liquid diet and catching me up fast! Not impressed!
Dieting since 5th August 2008 - trying to lose at least 4 stone! Lots of problems due to PCOS, most troublesome are my irregular periods and spots, so hoping losing weight will help.
